→ Narendra Modi is a leader in India. He is the 14th leader of India. He was born on September 17, 1950, in a small town called Vadnagar in Gujarat, India.

Family Background

→ His father's name was Damodardas Mulchand Modi, and he used to sell tea.

→ Modi's family belonged to the Ghanchi community, which is part of a group called the Other Backward Class (OBC) in India's caste system.

→ When Modi was a child, he lived in a small house with his six brothers and sisters.

→ Modi started his job in politics in the 1980s. He joined a small group called the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India. 

→ He was good at making people work together and feel excited, which helped him move up in the party's leadership.

→ In 1987, Modi started working to strengthen the BJP party in Gujarat. 

→ He did very good, and in 1995, he got a better job as the top secretary of the BJP party in the entire country.

→ In 2001, Modi started working as the leader of the Gujarat state. 

→ When he was in charge, he would frequently have disagreements and not agree with many other individuals. 

→ In the year 2002, something really bad happened when a train caught fire in Godhra. 

→ This incident caused problems and fights between different groups of people in Gujarat.
