(1). Space Debris

Every object launched into space, whether it's a satellite, rocket stage, or even a tiny bolt, adds to the growing problem of space debris.

There are over 20,000 tracked objects larger than a softball orbiting Earth, posing a risk to active satellites and space missions.

(2). The Great Pacific Garbage Patch in Space

Around 1,500 km above Earth, there is a place called the "Geostationary Belt."

This area has become a resting place for decommissioned satellites.

People sometimes call it the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch of Space."

(3). Space Launch Cost

It is incredibly expensive to send things into space.

The cost of launching payloads can range from thousands to tens of thousands of dollars per kilogram.

(4). International Space Station (ISS) Trash

On the International Space Station, astronauts collect and store their waste very carefully.

When the space station gets filled with trash, a cargo spacecraft is sent back to Earth.

This spacecraft carries the waste and safely disposes of it by burning up in Earth's atmosphere during re-entry.

(5). The Farthest-Thrown Object

In 1971, astronaut Alan Shepard threw a "golf ball" on purpose during the Apollo 14 mission.

It became the farthest object ever deliberately thrown in space.

He used a makeshift club to hit the golf ball, and because the moon has lower gravity, the ball traveled several hundred yards.

(6). Junk Flights

To fix the problem of space debris, some ideas suggest using special "junk flights" to gather and bring down old satellites and other space debris

This way, the debris won't cause crashes in space.

(7). Space Launch Vehicles

Rockets used to launch satellites or spacecraft are very powerful machines.

Some of the biggest rockets ever made, such as the Saturn V, could carry heavy payloads into space.

(8). Lost in Space

Sometimes, when astronauts are doing a spacewalk or during a mission, they might accidentally lose tools or other equipment.

Unfortunately, these lost items can become additional pieces of space debris floating in space.

(9). Space Elevator Concept

Scientists and engineers are thinking about creating a space elevator.

It's a special structure that could transport things from Earth to space without using regular rockets.

However, it's currently just an idea because there are challenging technical issues that must be solved before it can be constructed.

Right now, the space elevator is only a concept on paper and does not exist in real life.

(10). CubeSats

CubeSats are little, standardized satellites that have made it possible for schools and small businesses to do experiments and research in space at a lower cost.
