➤ What Is Grok?
Grok is like ChatGPT but made by Musk's company xAI. It uses the X platform, once called Twitter, to get real-time info. Grok is different because it's okay to answer tricky questions in a clever and somewhat rebellious way.

It's still new and has been tested, and trained for only two months. But xAI says it'll get better fast with user feedback. When someone on Twitter asked about Grok's release right after Musk said AI development should pause, Musk replied,
I joined that letter knowing it wouldn't change much. I just wanted to say we should pause.
➤ How Does Grok Operate?
Grok's development involved creating a strong system using Kubernetes, Rust, and JAX. The xAI team stressed how having a good system is important for deep learning research. Rust is helpful because it works fast and is dependable.
As Grok gets updated more, the team says they're concentrating on making training and understanding systems that are scalable, work well, and are dependable.
Grok's research wants to fix problems with current AI models
They want to focus on good thinking, overseeing things in a big way with tools, using verification to stay safe, understanding lots of information at once, and dealing with attacks better. They're also planning to add abilities for Grok to understand both vision and sound.
➤ Is Grok Unrestricted?
Grok is a unique AI system because it tackles "spicy" or controversial questions that other AI systems usually avoid.
According to xAI, it has shown impressive results in handling these types of queries. Satyam Srivastava, a management consultant, mentioned that Grok initially responded with a bit of humor, joking about cooking and the potential risks involved.
However, Elon Musk later shared a more detailed response from the bot, highlighting that it's meant for educational purposes. Srivastava noted that Grok's approach distinguishes itself in the market by addressing questions that other AI products tend to avoid.

➤ Is ChatGPT Less Effective Than Grok?
Grok-1, the main engine of Grok, does a unique AI system well in computer tests for learning things. It's even better than some other models like ChatGPT-3.5 and Inflection-1, but it's not as good as bigger models like GPT-4.
Srivastava said,
This shows that the competition in GenAI (artificial intelligence made for general purposes) is starting to get intense.
Grok AI learns from a huge amount of text and code. It has a lot of new and useful information, especially about human conversations. It learns from more examples of how people talk, which helps it understand things like sarcasm, jokes, and informal language better.
➤ How Reliable Is Grok?
In 2023, Grok, during the Hungarian National High School Math Exam, got a C grade, which tested their abilities. Srivastava mentioned that as Grok uses more advanced learning methods in the future, it might learn and adapt even faster than ChatGPT and Bard.
Sharon Gai, the keynote speaker and founder of Culture Fluid, expressed some doubts about Grok's accuracy since it was mainly trained using data from Twitter users. She pointed out that Twitter has a lot of misinformation because anyone can post anything there.
ChatGPT primarily learns from reliable sources like published journals, websites, and books
Gai also mentioned that Elon Musk's motivation to create his AI bot stems from his desire to monetize Twitter after his unsuccessful attempt to get a blue checkmark. She mentioned that Musk's AI might offer the advantage of recent data and the ability to answer more queries than ChatGPT.
This move aligns with Musk's larger plan to turn X into a super app, considering his acquisition of a banking license and plans to launch live streaming services on the platform.
➤ The Grok Way of Use
Grok is only for a few people in the United States to give opinions for making it better. Musk said Grok will be for X Premium+ members later. Those who had the subscription for a longer time will get it first.
Musk thinks the internet should be less controlled and more direct. He bought Twitter, showing he likes free speech and doesn't want to limit harsh words or important information. Gai thinks Grok will be similar to that.
